Just finished the first series of The Strain I doubt they'll be another series the writing is pretty poor unless it's a set up 1st season and they are expecting it to take of like the walking dead.. Last 5 episodes nothing much has happened

It was renewed for a second season a bit back I think, although it may seem like it wants to take the route of The Walking Dead, It won't.
With the Walking Dead there is no real end in site, where as The Strain is based on 3 books and the creator of the show said he needs 3-5 series to tell the whole story.

Ah right. Surprising it's got a rating of 8/10 on IMDb site which is quite high.. I'll keep watching seeing there is going to be an actual end to the series

Each to their own I guess. I watched the first series of the wire and enjoyed it but not enough to carry on with it and breaking bad is the most over hyped tv series ever.
