I haven't posted upstairs for quite some time as I didn't want to get into all the raging debates. I've sat on the fence a long time.
I'm not going to do a long rambling post but just thought I'd mention that yesterday I found myself thinking back only twelve months.
This time last year we had a manager who had been in the job four or five months, we had a few new players (including the likes of Elano, Garrido, Corluka, Petrov and Bojinov), the squad seemed to be working for and like the manager, a new owner (I was sceptical of), playing mainly with one up front (which I didn't like but we were getting results) and we were sitting high in the league with about 30 points.
Twelve months later we have a manager who has been in the job six months, we have a few new players (including the likes of Ben Haim, Jo, Zabaleta, Kompany, Wright-Phillips and Robinho), a squad that doesn't seem to be working for or like the manager, a new owner (who I am totally behind), playing several formations and we are looking like relegation fodder.
Something has gone horribly wrong and it needs changing fast. I could be wrong but I really don't think Hughes is up to it. Time for our new owners to flash the cheque book at a world class proven manager.
