Two bright Stars/Planets

It was probably a chinese lantern over droylsden for the girl who died last week RIP.

i was looking at it for 10 mins as it was very bright, then it blinked out !
I suppose someone has to live there!

stars twinkle planets don't. that's because stars emit their own light which gets refracted through space while planets only reflect light from the sun. as has already been said, the really bright object is venus & the other one below it is jupiter. the space station is also visible & that just reflects light from the sun as well.

Where's the space station in relation to Jupiter n Venus? Also I've just read a bit more of this thread.....is that Mars in the opposite direction to the J & V?
 
Just out the back and fuck me, the sky is awesome tonight, there's a really bright star and also you can see most of the constellations, absolutely beautiful.
