Although I agree this is an issue, part of me thinks the charges made it harder to bring in top quality players who may have been concerned about the outcome.

100 percent agree but the problem was that anyone who ever mentioned it was shut in here as stupid . We have 115 yrs 115 charges against us and forget that he titles we have won because this is the biggest battle of them all.

We did amazing to win the treble and then won 4 in a row while these charges were on our backs. It was an absolute master class from Pep that’s for sure and probably went against the expectations of the PL and rival clubs.

It wasn’t sustainable while the noose stayed around our heads though and it was clear from the recruitment we weren’t buying from the very top shelf. Not many top players would join a club where its entire existence as a top flight side is being threatened.

If you had a choice of jobs would you join the company which could be gone in 12-18 months or the one seemingly on a more stable footing?

The Players needs replaced because that’s how football works.

These two are beyond reproach. Mistakes have happened and we have been slow in the market but ffs, what they have done for us is unbelievable.

Huge squad shake up needed. This is not a let’s blame the players either but they are the ones on the pitch fucking about. They received untold praise when doing well.

Footballers decline, get comfortable, couldn’t be arsed.

Most clubs sack managers at this point we sign ours up for 2 more seasons.

You only have to look at how much pep cares.

I think it's insulting to put Txiki on equal footing with Pep. Peps won what he has despite him. We've gone into seasons with no recognised striker, we haven't had a natural left footed full back for about 8 years, we've had seasons where one injury has left us playing midfielders in defence. And now seemingly fatally we have gone into a 70 game season with no cover for a man our whole entire system seemed to revolve around.

Pep is an absolute miracle worker, but he's already fed the 5000 with the tools at his disposal. Since we won the treble he has been badly let down by our recruitment. Even Pep can't put 2 stone of muscle and a yard of pace on Gundo and Bernie to replace the gaping Rodri shaped hole in our team.

True, but what then if our sanction isn’t a fine but is a transfer ban?

Imagine if we have a two year transfer ban with the squad we’ve got now.

Transfer bans are FIFA rulings. Not sure there’s ever been one dished out for historical, financial breaches.

The EFL have issued embargoes for ongoing financial issues, but they’re temporarily in place until the matter is resolved, I think.
