So we brought in five senior players in MP's first summer. Jovetic, Fernandinho, Navas, Negredo, Demichelis.
Five or six this ssummer doesn't feel extreme when you look at it in that context.
You can only surmise that it was for something very important. Maybe they needed to be in the same room together to talk to a player or an agent. Maybe there were 'final' decisions to be made which needed to be made face to face.
I love the idea of them meeting up in Amsterdam to discuss Dutch players, because everyone knows you can only discuss players in the country they are from.
