Scotland didn't even manage a shot on target. Perhaps a good thing that we didn't qualify for the Euro's as this squad of players would probably get embarrassed infront of the whole of Europe.

Mate they were absolutely shocking. Michael Bradley COMPLETELY dominated Barry Bannan who looked like he was actually about 4ft 2in tall and 8 stone soaking wet.

Edu and Bradley pissed all over Scots mid (no Charlie Adam but wouldn't have had much of an impact at all).

To be fair to the Scots...yes tbf...the U.S would have been used to the heat whereas following complete seasons and largely in cold, miserable British weather, the Scots were gassing by half time. Regardless, the Scots were simply shit.

We really miss Darren Fletcher in our midfield, wouldn't have made much difference in that game but in general. Hopefully we'll improve when he's back as well as Morrison and Adam. We've lost a good striker in Steven Fletcher because he's a **** and also Kris Boyd seems to have been cut as well. I think Boyd would still do a decent job and if we're going to select players from mid table SPL teams we may as well pull him in from the MLS.

I really don't rate Levein as a manager and have never liked him. He always plays very defensively despite us not having a decent enough defence to get clean sheets and that leaves our strikers without any supply. We know we're not good but at least we should be shit attempting to play football instead of this rubbish, even with Burley we played football.

From what I saw (probably total of 60-65mins since I were going bar and bog every 5mins) the Scotland lot just were not arsed one bit and fancied a nice holiday in the sunshine. Shame this Tropical Storm Beryl couldnt come a day earlier and save the Scots!!!

Woeful performance from Scotland,Hibs type performance.:)
Any country that has Mulgrew as their player of the year is going to struggle.Still at least the worst performance on the park was American. The singer of the American national anthem was the worst.

If I was gonna put a team together to play the U.S i'd have gone with -

McGregor
Martin-Pearce-Caldwell-Fox
Brown-McCarther-Dorrans
Mackie-Fletcher-Maloney

Levein should have been sacked after his no strikers nonsense in The Czech Republic.

Scotland have a squad who should have qualified if he picked the right players, but Levein's stubborness and the fact the media give him an easy ride didn't help.

Once again Avril Lavveen fails to get the better of a team in red and white hoops.

Scotland never had a hope in hell of winning the group, Spain were always going to run away with it. 2nd place was all they had a shot at, and even then, man for man, Scotland's squad wasn't as strong as the Czech Rep. Even assuming Scotland managed to overcome a superior Czech side, they'd still have to rely on some luck or the draw in the playoffs to avoid such sides as Croatia, Portugal or Turkey who would all have viewed Scotland as a fantastic winnable tie. Based on all that I can't really see how you can claim that "Scotland have a squad who should have qualified". Scotland are a distance away from being a credible international side. They'll not be at Brazil 2014, with Croatia, Serbia and Belgium all superior sides to them. They might make Euro 2016, but that will be down to an increase in qualifying nations from 16 to 24 rather than an upturn in playing quality.

Russel Martin of Norwich, Alex Pearce of Reading and Danny Fox of Southampton.
Maybe Fox was crap a few years ago but he's been a regular this season for a not-too-bad Southampton side and there's hardly much competition at leftback.

Scotland would have beaten the Czechs at Hampden if that turd had attacked them. When he did,we scored 2 goals and then retreated on his orders to defend.Ditto Prague,a point was there to be had.As for the sides in the play offs,Croatia and Turkey are no great shakes..............look how easily the Czechs won their play off.

Out of the sides in our qualifying group, there is not much between any of them on their day.Good Management can make all the difference a la Ireland.
