Good game. Number 6 in mid was a rock. Two Fletcher twins solid. Some great moves and a cracking winner in stoppage time. Well done.

Thanks - I did not know that scouts wore/carried stuff that identifies their club. I guess things have moved on from the 60's!

The Liverpool team must have fluked it to the final as well as we were head & shoulders better than them & we should have been out of sight before they got their equaliser. I was impressed by all the team apart from the wingers.

Very true, four great chances missed in that first half and a one-on-one in the second. Dippers also missed a sitter in the second half although, apart from their equaliser which seemed to just cross the line from my angle, they weren't really a threat. Herbie James, who scored our first goal, is apparently off to Tottenham.
I was amazed at the size of Daniel Batty (number 9), he looked about 12 years old but I thought he had a very good touch and awareness. As you said, a lot of impressive performances which bodes well for the future.
