u18s 5 Burnley 0 / 5 pts clear & game in hand on mini rag after they drop pts / u18s PL.

Finished 5-0...

Floyd Samba got the 5th in injury time.

Floyd Samba looks far too good for this level, I think he’ll be pushed through to under 21s after Christmas. He’s nowhere near ready for the first team squad yet but he’s a really exciting talent, as they used to say “I think we’ve got one here lads”

Good to see the academy still unearthing decent quality lads.

Seems neverending this production line and after a decade I think it's only just starting, you love to see it and Floyd looks like he can control a game in the final 3rd and dictate a tempo.

Someone I know told me about him a few years back after watching a few games of probably our u14/15s saying he's like a mini Yaya Toure, scoring free kicks and long shots while being strong and powerful but also very technical and unselfish with great passing.

At the time Floyd was meant to be much bigger than most the other kids but even now he's 6ft at 16, so could still have some more growing to do but more excitingly he looks very talented.
His dad Christopher who played for Blackburn was about 6ft5 built like a brick shithouse and very strong so that should help out long-term, with good genes like this and that potential strength/height to he could become a very dominant and very versatile player potentially.

Obviously there's a tendency to get overexcited like my mate describing him back then saying remember the name, he only went along to watch because he knew someone else playing then did nothing but praise Floyd Samba, he does look a great prospect and like most on here who has seen him I'm looking forward to seeing how good he can be.

Floyd is clearly one to watch but I think Tyrone Samba has also looked good too even if he's not as talented as Floyd, if I remember rightly when they signed they also had a younger brother in the younger age groups too, who is probably about 12-14 now so clearly Christopher Samba is making sure his lads stay on the right track.

With guidance from a former professional dad who after growing up poor is probably a disciplinarian, plus being at an academy like ours they've certainly got a good chance of succeeding in the game.

Thank your for the additional information, patience is definitely the key here, he has so many skills and has so much potential but, he is also different to what we have produced like Yayas style of player is a good shout, when he’s running with the ball he looks unstoppable.
Very exciting prospect time and patience needed, Tyrone seems to be a little more versatile and is also a really exciting prospect.
Our Academy is benefiting football as a whole, we produce good players every season and they are inevitably good human beings, it’s an Academy to be very proud of.
