Reserve thread here mate.Should be able to get a stream of the chelsea game as they normally put live reserve matches on there official tv channel.

We should do what Spanish and German teams do, and that is to allow Reserve teams play in the League System to a point.

No way, we have a thriving league system compared to pretty much any other nation why try and ruin it by putting in B teams where it will only benefit the big clubs.

If that was to happen what do you think the consequences would be ?

The main concerns:

1) Who will make way for the B-teams

2) It can be an unjust system - because we could have situations where a league 1 topclub could play a strong city-side one week - and then City field a much weaker side next week due to a dometic cup or something - and then play a promotion-rival to the club they played the week before.

3) Why would topclubs let lower division clubs loan players when they can play at the same level with their B-side ?

I just cant see how it would benefit anyone beside the major clubs

Fair points but I think you could make it work.

In regards to 2, you would have a named squad that wouldn't be altered over the season made up of players who hadn't debuted for the first team, this team wouldn't be in domestic cups to avoid being drawn against their senior side.

3, You could make it a stipulation that after one season those players become available to be loaned out, thus creating space for the next batch whilst ensuring players get more first team football and helping the more financially stricken clubs out with the availability of players.

point 1, I dunno :)

Re-wind 10 years. Would you agree with B clubs?
