this site (providing adverts) is killing the bluemoon web site when I display a thread or make a post

What browser are you using mate? I've not experienced any problems today, and no one else has reported any problems. When you say it is "killing" the site, can you be a bit more specific? Cheers.

First clear your cache & history.
It's maybe worthwhile to go through ALL of the steps here just to clear up anything lingering :- http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-start-qone8-virus/
Then install the AdBlock extension. You can then allow BlueMoon for the advertising revenue without the annoying bits.
