Im sure many off you will have read the artile stating that each of the finalist would be give 11,500 tickets, however, from looking at it, it says the capacity of the ground is 42,000 but when i have looked on the stadiums official website it says the capacity is 53,586, I was wondering if this means there might be more than the 11,500 tickets actually on sale, if they just split that extra 11,000 seats between the two clubs it would mean the finalist would get 18,000 tickets which would make it a better. I know we are still a long way off getting there but i cant help but think about it and it seems a joke to have a major final and we only get 11,500 tickets its ridiculous....18,000 isnt brilliant but it would be a massive improvement.

They are in the middle of a ballot for 11.500 tickets that go out to neutral fans.
A fair few off here have gone for it, I've gone for it myself.
Find out in the next week if you have got them or not.
Ballot has closed though for others who wanted to go down this route but missed out.

The 53k would be for league games only I would think

But why reduce it by 10k for a major final, its not like its a ground that holds 60k but with a standing area like Hamburgs that the capacity then get reduced as standing is against UEFA rules. I just dont get why they would reduce it.

Just think of all those tickets that will go to sponsors and corporates!!!
It will be a shed load, just a sad fact of 21st Century Football. But without it..............

Pisses me off no end that so many corporate fans will be going and so many die hards will miss out....no matter if its us or other teams in the final.

I wonder how much people will pay for tickets if we make it?

Tickets prices would go through the roof, this site would have 20000000 new members asking for tickets with all sorts of storys!
I would not like to speculate on the price of tickets for Istanbul if we did get there as there are loads of greedy people having a look on at the moment.
I've said in an earlier post that I've been collecting Final programmes and ticket and the amount of tickets and meorabilia that I've got that is corporate is silly.
I've got a ticket for England v Holland Euro 96 unused issued to the Scottish FA!
An England fan was deprived of a seat for the Scottish FA holder that never went to the match!
It's all about fancy food and fancy suits to that lot, some fo them do not even understand football.
Sad really but the truth is we need their money in the game as it pays the wages and transfer fees.

Due to the size of UEFA's advertising boards, you often lose the first 3 or 4 rows of seating at grounds that weren't designed to cope with them. That's a few thousand seats right there. Then there'll be segregation (the official capacity won't take this into account). There will also be a lot more press there than for a league game, which would reduce the capacity even further. An 11,000 reduction seems a bit extreme, but I reckon the reasons I've given would account for about 7,000

I don't know how UEFA work it out but it seems allot go to corporate. I was lucky enough to be at CoMs for the Rangers v Zenit final and the ground was packed solid with Rangers fans, so the corporate tickets found there way to the real fans in the end. I would imagine the same would happen if we got to the final.

They might have standing areas for league games but UEFA won't allow it for Europe or Internationals

At a ridiculously inflated price unfortunately...

These two didn't <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8nmImZ1F-E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8nmImZ1F-E</a>

The sad bastards

If we get 11,500 tickets that would mean the club will allocate to the people with seasoncards and the different tiers of loyalty points. I am not sure how many seasoncard holders we got, but if they do it this way it's the fairest.

90% of the other tickets are sold on the black market for profit ruining football

i think if i remember correctly. both teams in the final get 11'500 tickets each. Then theres a ballot for general football fans that want to go, the rest go to corporate. so the attendance will still be close to 50k

so about 10,000 to the fans after the club keep around 1.500 for players and all
