Uefa cup QF SF draw

No point in lookin' too far ahead ...... we've done that far too often an' look where it's got us!

The next UEFA obstacle is Aalborg , who have just scored six goals over two legs against Coruna ...... for that alone they deserve respect ...... they WILL prove very difficult to beat , especially with home advantage in the 2nd leg ....... there are some good sides left in this competition and anyone who thinks Aalborg aren't one of them is sadly mistaken ....... they were in the Champions League last season and scored twice at the Swamp!

Their domestic league form may be a bit patchy ..... won six , lost six , out of seventeen games so far ..... but they are obviously rising to the occasion in the UEFA Cup ....... only a complete fool would understimate them!

1 Brondby 17 39
2 FC Copenhagen - Done em 17 37
3 Odense BK 17 35
4 FC Midtjylland - Done em 17 31
5 AaB--------- Bring em on 17 23
6 AGF Aarhus 16 23
7 Randers FC 17 21
8 FC Nordsjaelland 16 15
9 Sonderjyske 17 15
10 Esbjerg 17 13
11 Vejle 17 12
12 AC Horsens 17 11

I've just been speaking to a Danish fan who tells me that Aalborg are much cleverer tactically than Copenhagen are in Europe , and are much more cynical ........ he also says they're a much better side than Midtjylland ........ he also stresses that they aren't Danish Champions for nothing , and they're getting their season together now that they've got rid of Bruce Rioch ...... they ARE a very good side!

With the second leg on their patch they won't even be thinkin' of defeat against City ...... make that in either leg!

That means nowt. They'll be looking at our table and thinking the same! "Hmm, Man City, Man City, where are they...hmmm, 10th?! Easy game!!"

i think people are underestimating Aalborg a bit. They've knocked out a decent Deportivo side 6-1 on aggregate so it will be by no means a walk in the park.

If we do get through, i think PSG or Braga would be ideal. Pretty average teams and not the most intimidating of away trips
