UEFA and the footballing cartel are very much in uncharted territory.but how can the cartel be ever broken then ?? and when the so called elite clubs are running the game city have little chance of ever winning in europe any way
also how can city change the rules setup by uefa and the FFP its mission is to stop manchester city that's it job done
They didn't see the potential threat coming that Manchester City pose to the established clubs within the champions league.
They assumed Sheikh Mansour would get bored with the project and pack up. When Sheikh Mansour took over in 2008 his vision was to own the best football team on the planet. By default that means we become the best team in England and across Europe.
UEFA and the footballing cartel have realised it's only a matter of time before we win the champions league and become regular contenders.
Look at the past ten years, we either win the premier league or come second.
That spells the end for the established top four clubs in the UK.
The problem UEFA have got is their precious champions league relies on optics. It's got to be seen as a pure form of natural progression from each of the European leagues.
What they've done (inadvertently) with their witch hunt towards Manchester City is show their true colours. They're not this elite showcase of pure football they're simply a group of terrified protectionist trying to hold onto what diminishing powers they have left.
The fall out from this is going to tarnish their reputation (what little they have) far worse than it will ours.
The issue with this type of toxic politics is death by association. So clubs who have been pushing for these sanctions will be left to pay the price. That includes all the gutter press that have jumped on the bandwagon.
