Although over a third of those other transfers happened before Neymar, so what was driving that?
The top 6 are all post Neymar.

Most clubs in the Premier League could buy him if they chose to only spend on the one player and he was willing to come though.

This is completely separate discussion but they could do it because they got a 100m a year sponsorship from Qatar and the UEFA investigator allowed it despite objections of the rest of the panel.
Then when the chief judge of the AC found out and forced a new investigation, CAS ruled UEFA had run out of time with their own regulations only allowing 10 days between verdict and reopening.

I'd point out that Omar Berrada said just before Xmas that we still hadn't been asked to appear before the AC & no idea whether we would be asked or not.
I say in Part 2 of my articles that we don't know if we were at the hearing but every AC states that under Article 20 "Written observations 1 The CFCB chairman invites the defendant to submit its written observations within a suitable time limit. 2 After the submission of the written observations, no further documents may be submitted to the adjudicatory chamber by the defendant, except in exceptional circumstances and with the consent of the CFCB chairman."
Article 21 deals with hearings.

I don’t believe that would have been a feasible price under the current FFP guidance.
For Paris to pay what they did, a man with some connections had to shake a bag of numbers so they could slide through the net of FFP.
Many circumstances I know in terms of the detail and clubs individual financials, but I just don’t see how we would have been in a position to pay such ridiculous sums of money.
City don’t appear to distort the market, historically this is very evident. I don’t see why we would change that with Mbappe given the the dark forces we are up against.
