For those still in denial, further reference today in the High Court to HH meaning SM (in emails) and specifically in respect of him personally (as opposed to "and family").
Why would a completely unconnected court case, when Sheikh Mansour's identity had already been clearly established as part of that case, have any bearing on Simon Pearce's email?

If you read the official bios on the Executive Council or any other official Abu Dhabi webiste (including Mubadala) it will clearly name the individual then refer to them only as 'His Highness' once the context of who was being referred to was clear. I've been told, by someone who regularly dealt with this stuff in Abu Dhabi, that any reference to 'HH' or 'His Highness' , when the individual it referred to wasn't otherwise explicitly stated, could only refer to MBZ.

If City are part of that plot then I am disappointed in the club. Yes the riches on offer are untold. The damage to our league as a result the same.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that if the league were to go ahead that FIFA wouldn’t allow any player from that new league to participate in its competitions. i.e the players couldn’t represent their countries, so no World Cups or Euro’s. Even friendlies need FIFA approval.
i can just see fifa banning all the players from the top clubs because they play in a league without eufa, fifa dont give a fuck about eufa and i cant see them saying right brazil v france tonight, but no top players are allowed to play because they broke away from eufa

Many posters here highlight the costs of a loss at CAS. It is not just about the benefits of a win against losing but a challenge to control by the G14 of UEFA and manipulation to protect their interests including competitions, rules and rewards.

Matchday revenue is insignificant when compared to media, commercial and above all gambling interests. Fans are new unwitting actors to provide the backdrop, atmosphere and soundtrack of televised games and media exposure. All can be censored and manipulated including VAR.

This is what we are facing and challenging.

Your second para undermines the first. SM's involvement in Barclays is no more in dispute than his involvement in City. Both are certain.

The premise of the "HH might not be SM" camp was always that those in the know wouldn't dare make a faux pas like use HH for SM. In fact, its commonly used in very similar contexts to Pearce's email which means that the more natural reading (that HH is SM in Pearce's email) should be preferred.

As I have said, anyone can hold whatever view they like. The evidence in my mind is overwhelming that HH in Pearce's email is SM. Absolutely overwhelming. I promise not to mention this issue again!

If that document is undoctored/genuine then it drives a coach and horses (or a pony and trap at least) through the idea that the cartel is totally bent on nobbling us.....or was it just a case of them having no credible grounds for excluding us at that stage?
If you see another post that gives the percentage stake for each club it stinks even more. Put it this way, some pigs will have priority at the 5 star trough of decision making whilst others will be at the works canteen trough.

Motive and follow the money always works for me. Gulf States have been ultra-competitive since they became independent. Oil and gas has transformed the region.

The issues are if you have money, what do you do with it? Second, where you invest and influence has to be longer term than revenue from oil and gas which is finite.

Qatar was a backwater with ambition to gain status whilst Abu Dhabi was always in the forefront of commercial development of Gulf States and pro UK, although Dubai has been higher profile. So far Qatar was awarded the WC, has got away with PSG and is pressing the interests of BeIn.

Anyone who thinks this is about FFP is naïve. It is about winning hearts and minds. We have political manipulation, the G14 and the USA owners at the other. No doubt we have our own agenda but the proposed Saudi NCFC takeover highlights the issues of influence and control.

Coronavirus could well be the deal breaker for the future of football. CAS are aware and the implications, to UEFA, of a referral to Swiss Courts.

Not if you're a fan of any team other than the breakaway clubs - What is meaningless are leagues where the same team wins every year - Celtic, Bayern, Juventus, PSG.
I suppose it's the natural way to go, when teams are too good for a league they get promoted, that's what this is.

Having said all that, I don't agree with the breakaway though, City or no City involved.

Hence 'arguably'..

I'd argue that even a lower table spot club supporter would consider a league without its 4 top clubs at the very least diluted.
But agree otherwise on everything else.
