Sam Lee said on The Athletic podcast that he thinks City won’t win the League next season, because we could have a points deduction.

Assuming that means he thinks we’ll lose at CAS and the Premier League will punish us too.

Didn’t the financial fair play rules for the premier league come into force after the accounting period we are being done for by Uefa?

Does anyone know if the club will still be in dialog with CAS,possibly clarifying information if required or is it just a case of waiting on a verdict.

Sam seems to move from one extreme to another ! Sometimes when you haven't got a 'scooby' what's going on its best just to shut the fuck up.

This isn't intended as a Sam Lee bashing post, as I don't have a problem with him for the most part - but he is hardly well informed on anything to do with CAS. His opinion isn't worth much more than your average fan in terms of offering genuine insight when it comes to Football finances and politics in the modern game.

Plus he's had some of the most hopelessly partisan, myopically biased commentators on this whole situation in his ear recenty, whose opinions are completely lacking in any sort of objectivity and who operate with a sneering contempt for basic journalistic principles like fact checking or balance.

It's hardly surprising that's the line he's coming out with - he's acknowledged his reporting on this issue has unfortunately highlighted he's out of his depth, so bewilderingly he's gone to the worst possible available resource to provide him with the knowledge he knows he's lacking on his own.

Yeah. Also I think if there's going to be any acceptance of the victory we need the full decision with reasoning and summary of our arguments to be published (this requires both parties consent) because they will otherwise assume that the AC and IC did their jobs, but when it came to defending them in court, Ceferin and the rest of UEFA didn't try. That feeds back into the belief they have that Ceferin & co. are on our side.

A verdict in our favour will be fantastic , so non-acceptance by the media etc is inevitable and might even make it all the sweeter knowing they are hurting.

Pretty sure nobody at the club expects us to be greeted with open arms, and will just push ahead with our plans and ignore the hostility and bitter jealousy towards us . Pretty used to it anyway.
