Certainly parallels in that with bosman they overstepped the mark as a sports regulatory body and trampled on human rights, and with ffp they (imho) have similarly over-extended their authority and tried to dictate how and what a business man can invest in his own business. Sure, the CL is their competition, but you can't really stop someone investing legally owned funds into a legally held asset.I’ve said this on a few occasions on this thread and I’ll repeat it.
Uefa were slapped down and lectured about not confusing their regs with actual law by the ECJ when they were challenged by one isolated Belgian footballer named jean-Marc Bosman after they thought that they were bigger than the law.
It may be that this extraordinary arrogance may still be a factor with them.
