I've already posted this but clearly people don't read further back or have the memory of goldfishes. The parties will have been told the preliminary decision a few days ago, at the latest. They then have an opportunity to alert CAS to any fundamental errors in the judgement. Assuming there are none, the decision is then formalised and signed off.

I think (although I don't know for sure) that the parties may have been notified of the decision as long as 2 weeks ago. There is no doubt however that the club and UEFA know the outcome that will be announced on Monday. And it's no coincidence that the news started to come out yesterday afternoon once CAS had shut for the weekend.
Wake up. Check bluemoon, still stressed about the verdict. Anything new to add to Cheesys Twitter thing yesterday? Start at the end. Posters falling out with each other as usual. Go back pages try and find something new, hopefully from posters I have trust in. But there's pages and pages so give up after a few. So going to miss the odd bit of relevant information despite not having a goldfish's memory.

Has anyone thought that our whole legal and PR strategy has been to maintain our innonence throughout, no matter the outcome, to ensure that they keep us onside as a fan base?

Soriano said the evidence is irrefutable, Pep has said he's seen it and believes we're innocent, etc. And fans will always have a bias to go along with their word and ignore outside opinion - even if found guilty. Let's face it, blue tinted specs do exist.

But maybe they've known we're guilty all along but have always been looking at the long game. The legal costs are a drop in the ocean anyway.

It sounds a bit crazy as it's a very bold approach, but ultimately, politicians do it all the time and the world goes on. Our club needs us to back it - which I'm sure most will regardless - and we'd move past the ban if it gets upheld and continue to support the owners.

I hope this theory is complete crap but it's not out of the realms of possibility and just throwing it out there.

Your theory doesn't stand up to the slightest of scrutiny. If the club knew we were caught bang to rights then they would have gone all out to negotiate a deal with UEFA.

As BFTB said "Could trying to appease the elite clubs with their punishment of Manchester City be the start of the death spiral for UEFA?"

IMO - exoneration is the only possible outcome, so much so that UEFA will have posted no evidence at CAS and why it was so cut and dry. The alternative would be catastrophic for UEFA.

Only once have I ever been offered leaked information, from somebody inside the club, and that was when the doorman outside the Directors Suite confided, just an hour before the announcement of Brian Horton as the new City Manager,, at the Friday night game v Coventry.

"Don't quote me, but it's Gerry Francis"

I liked Brian but Gerry would have been better!

Peps demeanour and the fact he's been allowed time and again to say he's very confident right up to yesterday... No leaks or even inklings from the media... Cheesy's tweet.... the fact that mysteriously reports have emerged that KDB is staying even if we lose (he knows we've won and is now saying he'll defo stay if we lose knowing he doesn't have to back that up).... The absolute deafening silence from UEFA...

These all tell me we've won
5 year ban incoming lol

What worries me and I hope this me over thinking is that last night the club briefed 2 city journalists (Blackburn and gauguan) that whatever the outcome of the appeal Kdb is open to staying.

That is no doubt fantastic news, I can’t help but feel it is a bit of damage control from the club. You just know if we do get the ban the media, fans of other clubs will be saying kdb is off blah blah blah.

just a thought.
I suspect that was the club throwing a bone to Blackburn and Gaughan because we wouldn't confirm the line from Ian Cheeseman. Those two reporters would have been under huge pressure last night to deliver on this story. I took the KDB story as a positive.
