It's getting so interesting now. We are definitely going to lose the battle but win the war. We will get banned, challenge at CAS and win, and lots of shadowy figures are going to end up getting their asses served to them.

Its going to be a tough few years but this will change football

I would have thought our opponent will foresee the problems and compromise/look to limit damage.

Our opponents aren't truly within EUFA tho. EUFA have no choice but to go for a ban to save face, whether proper or not. As I understand it at CAS their investigative powers are such that they can get to the real issues and we no doubt will give them loads to get their teeth into.

We're not getting banned
CAS have just fired warning shots at Uefa for them to stop trying to take the piss and bypass their own rules
The leaks have actually played into City's hands, showing how Uefa actually behave rather than how they pretend they behave

No-one in the wider world cares about that tho. EUFA will do a Boris and blame "the courts" for interferring with justice.

So found guilty we get suspended from the shit show for a season, big deal.

There are FA and PL charges too. You can guarantee both will copy and paste the result regardless of the outcome. All three charges were announced at the same time so all three will need to give the appearance of being on the same page.

Nah, more like we appeal to CAS, the sentence is deferred, until they make a ruling. Depending on the outcome, we could be looking at years of legal battles.
As has been said already City have known grievances with certain clubs and as khaldoon revealed last year we have hard evidence against them of perceived wrongdoing, it could get very interesting very soon

The CAS report definately confirms why we havent been found guilty yet.
I look at it this way. The major powers in European football are demanding we are found guilty but UEFA know they will be bankrupted by the legal action that follows after CAS clears us. That is why nothing has happened yet.
The current press leaks are the major powers in European football besmirching our name in the hope of pushing UEFA into making idiots if themselves.

I think that all the thoughts and ideas that have been floated by the wiser heads on this forum are contained in Keegan's piece.
Keegan is 12 months late on the Pinto story. There is still nothing to suggest that UEFA have even seen the hacked emails whose content is contested by City. The emails and other parts of the Pinto cache are part of the evidence in the ongoing criminal prosecution of Pinto. How can UEFA (a sports body) gain access to stolen property which is evidence in an international police investigation before the outcome of the criminal trial?
Meanwhile we can asssume that City do know exactly what is in the emails and their full context (not just the tiny Der Spiegel extracts). UEFA can't possibly take action when they don't have this information, never mind the fact they have bungled the entire process. The UK press seems to have finally woken up to this element of the story which has been published extensively in the US and Portgual for the last 12 months.
