I have generally found that Villa fans are mostly self-entitled and arrogant unlike the Baggies, Wolves, and even Birmingham City fans (except their hooligan element). I don't welcome Villa back at all.Their ground and it’s infrastructure is badly in need of modernising, it matches the time they last won the League, definitely stuck in the past. Their fans can be a pain with the “have you ever won a European Cup” chant but it’s good to have them back.
Glass houses / stones. We're a good example of a club that has a proud history but (until 2011) no recent success. Villa are another example as are Preston NE, Wolves, Sunderland, Newcastle...7 league titles, the last 38 years ago and the other 6 before the First World War of which 5 were in the 19th century.
7 FA Cup wins, the last 62 years ago, one just after the First World War and the other 5 before the First World War of which 3 were in the 19th century.
That's history all right.

Success and history shouldn't be confused. A club can have loads of history and still not have been successful recently. Denying that puts us on a par with Liverpool and the Rags, quite honestly.
That's because they don't have any. Emptypark!!I don’t know any personally
I'm sure no city fans ever suggested our club belonged in the Premier League when we were promoted again in 2002.Villa and others have a proud history but my post was in response to another poster who has already had experience of Villa fans getting a tad too arrogant at their promotion and banging on about history, winning a European Cup and deserving of a place in the top 4. From what he posted some of them are getting well ahead of themselves. My post merely put that arrogance and entitlement into context.

I have family links to the midlands and have met many over the years and been attending City matches at Villa Park since 1976. I was there during the poisonous onslaught their fans made on James Milner and Gareth Barry after they had signed for us. It was nearly as bad as the atmosphere at Anfield when Sterling went back for his first match. Stan Collymore hasn't helped me change my view either. I know it is a generalisation but West Brom and Wolves fans just seem a more friendly bunch.I don’t know any personally

And no rivals ever thought we were uppity, let alone 'noisy neighbours'...
What you're saying is that we deserve to be held to a different standard than other clubs. Which is a bit like what the dippers do...
