I have a real problem with any rule that says a rich owner can’t spend his money any way he sees fit.

If the authorities want to level the playing field impose a salary cap. In the absence of that the basic rule is the richest club has the best team. UEFA were perfectly happy with this arrangement when Real Madrid, The Rags, Barcelona, Juventus etal were the richest clubs. Now PSG, Chelsea and us have upset the old way of things they don’t like the rule any more and need to change it. How about looking at something meaningful like debt levels rather than debt free, profitable businesses like City ?

Historical isn't it. I think if you heard it from the City angle you might think differently. All we've heard so far is a non-stop barrage for about 5 years about City cheating.

I’m far from convinced that it matters what the City angle is. We saw the agenda in full war cry yesterday. Chelsea stitched up (where Barca and Madrid have been allowed to carry on buying) in order to set a precedent to then apply to us, the Times (allegedly) ringing round our PL rivals one by one to orchestrate collective action. These fuckers - the G14 - cannot compete with us and this is their only remaining chance to kill us off. Not ban us for 12 months. Kill us off. Long term ban from the CL, transfer ban of 3 to 4 windows, and reputational damage that is terminal. The aim will be to get Pep, Kev, Bernie, Raz, et al, to leave, and to dissuade others from signing once those bans are eventually lifted, maybe with another carefully focused piece of FFP tweaking. A temporary blow is no use to the dippers and the rags, or Bayern and Madrid with aging squads, this has to be the coup de grace. I just hope we’ve got some very good lawyers, because the media is ratcheting up the pressure on UEFA by persuading even neutrals that we must “be stopped”. The faux outrage if we are now “let off” with a slap on the wrist, will be off the scale, and I don’t see UEFA making themselves a target by doing so. Football is just about the biggest and most competitive business on the planet and those we have effectively disenfranchised were always going to try and nobble us, but the levels of spite and bitterness have been way beyond anything even most of us envisaged. For me, this ends in a bloodbath. Maybe it’s time for our owners to apply some pressure away from football! The minute we became well run and successful they (cartel) felt threatened and were going to attack us from every angle and try and sabotage our success regardless of whether we were rule abiding or not. We may very well have been playing the game since we took our "pinch" and these charges could very well be trumped up rubbish. Blaming our decision makers before anything has been proven is premature in my book .There has been a clear vendetta against us for years and maybe the best way to resolve this after playing their game is to bring it to a head and take them on in an aggressive manner.

As much as I love Pep I think, in the words of Steven Stills, he “loves the one he’s with”.

I have no doubt he loves us and Manchester but when his contract is up and the “project is finished” he will move on to another challenge.

When he goes he will leave us with a load of trophies, a load of memories, a load of records and our undying gratitude. Probably the greatest coach ever and he has made us one of the best teams in the world. Let’s enjoy it while it lasts.

I do think there is a possibility that this brings him 'closer' to us if / as / when he sees people rallying round over this.

Fans need to be defiant over this and I even think he may slightly change his stance on how we generally view European competition.
