Arsenal get plenty of 'oil money' from their stadium and shirt sponsorship by state owned airline Emirates. This has been running since 2006 and has been extended to 2024. The last extension in 2018 is worth £200 million alone. Still waiting for gooners to have protest marches against 'dirty arab oil money' demanding UEFA take action and ban them from the, er, Europa League..

I read they first signed a deal with Emirates in 2004, maybe that was for shirt only until the stadium deal came through in 2006. Similar to what we did with did with Etihad in 2011(shirt deal since 2009?).

That's 4 or 5 more years than City they've been taking "oil money" from the UAE.
