It was widely reported last year that PSG’s chairman was being criminally investigated for bribery and corruption.Interesting that none of these "investigative journalists" scented even a whiff of this scandal.
Investigative journalism doesn't attract enough clicks, much easier to churn out sensationalist lowest-common-denominator trash.Interesting that none of these "investigative journalists" scented even a whiff of this scandal.
Exactly . They cannot claim impartiality and cannot claim our investigation and subsequent charges aren’t anything but a self serving witch-hunt by those involved.Suspect this is a coincidence but the fact that an ECA appointed delegate to UEFA and president of a rival club who are laughably getting away with ridiculous sponsorship deals is facing criminal charges relating to football business does nothing to harm City's case that they have been treated prejudicially. The stink is worse than a Parisian sewer.

That's about the only option left that will restore my faith in football. I don't want us to be like the rest. I want better. That worries me a little because I’m of the opinion that could be an indication of a possible agreement somewhere down the line with UEFA. Personally, I’d rather we fight this to the end and if after a proper, legal, transparent process has been followed City are guilty then ‘fair dos’, let’s accept our punishment whatever that may be. If however City are proved innocent then UEFA will be shown to be corrupt and may well collapse, ending their cosy relationships. If we do a deal we become part of football governance’s problem, part of an elite who don’t give a stuff about ambition etc. PSG, CFC and others have taken a path of cosying up - we should fight this to the end, whatever the cost to UEFA. Our reputation is in the gutter already, so if we do a deal at any point the abuse heading our way will increase significantly because we will be perceived as ‘buying a place at the top table’ as well as buying success and, presumably accused of bribing UEFA to avoid a fight. All or nothing for me if we want football to be fair, transparent and open to all.
Hard to see when you’re not looking pal!Interesting that none of these "investigative journalists" scented even a whiff of this scandal.
I do.
City are going to court. I don't care who you are and what the case is. The defendant always expresses total vehemence in his case. The only interesting aspect were things he didn't need to say such as the clear distinction drawn between UEFA as a whole and elements in UEFA who are hostile to City.
cant someone put this in simple terms please !! if I am right UEFA wanted the charges dropped but the authorities have ignored UEFA and nicked him ?
The judge only wanted it reopened because of Leterme’s dodgy behaviour. 7m sponsorship deal independent valuation ignored and a figure of 100m arrived at to ensure that PSGs losses were within the 3-year limit. Al-Khelaifi 100% in bed with Leterme, the guy investigating us. It’s not a stretch to say that he probably bribed Leterme (though we can’t prove it). And we’re to then believe it’s a fair process!? I can’t wait for the day this all comes out. It will happen.Wasn’t astonishing at all, UEFA reopened a case outside its own 10 day deadline and CAS agreed.
Rob Harris is on it to be fair
Read the piece in NYT about this case. Leterme against the wishes of half his chamber found psg 'not guilty'.AC Chairman could not believe it and tried to reopen, but was out of time. The astonishing thing is how Leterme came up with the numbers that showed Kheaifi's club was ok. ...nothing to see here...because this individual managed to get his name on the uefafa guest list...
Just think fifa will bat it away as a past regime but what it does show is the type of characters uefa have on their committees.Yeap but FIFA not UEFA Squeaky bum time at FIFA due to implications of alleged bribery during the World Cup selection process
Oh, Marvin. Use your head. How is it relevant? The argument is about whether Football Leaks (and any additional evidence we don't know about) show that City broke the FFP rules. There's an argument about the process. Obliquely it can be used but I think your grasping at straws. A panel of judges will want evidence that has a direct bearing on our hearing at UEFA and the allegations made by Football Leaks.
ECA is essentially the creature of Bayern and Cefarin is their installed stooge at UEFA. Al-Khelaifi is decorative only and it cost Qatar dear to get him in both. While awkward for UEFA as he's on their exec - I think as the rep for the European Club Association - is this anything to do with actions for UEFA or PSG?

The Enigma made the code. You need "Ultra". Marian Rejewski's your man.Hmm...this seems like it's gonna be a lot of decoding. I'm just blowing the dust of my 'Enigma'.
