Fair point. It was more to do with him being a Liverpool apologist and the sheer volume of red supporting Irishmen there are or seem to be. I appreciate I was guilty of generalising somewhat although there is data which does suggest that you are much more likely to bump into a red shirt wearing fan than a blue one.
From the Irish Times: https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/so...e-club-is-most-supported-in-ireland-1.3018961

"Ireland’s favourite Premier League team is Manchester United (170,000 Facebook followers), ahead of Liverpool (157,500 followers). Next up are Chelsea, followed by Arsenal and then fellow London club Tottenham.

Another London side, West Ham are next, ahead of Manchester City and a surprise inclusion in Crystal Palace. Everton are ninth, while the 10th most supported club is Hull City."
No sweat. My reposte was very much tongue in cheek.
There's more Red heads over here than you can swing a Hurley at.

You have to be so suspicious when the leak to the media about a possible CL ban comes the day after our title win...ManU mentioned by Martin Samuel as the possible source. It's also great to read a newspaper article with good things being said about City for a change. City doing the treble is just fantastic...come on City!!!!.

Excellent again from Martin Samuel, he had it sussed years back. Makes you laugh, everything UEFA does is for money, 4 teams in the....er…..'Champions' League being the most obvious just in case one of their little darling, debt-ridden and corrupt clubs misses out on being the real Champs. Pathetic bunch of cronies

Fair point, as I have explained in a more recent post. Your criticism was somewhat justified but did it really need the 'is it genetically impossible for him/her not to put a little more thought into posts' line?
Xenophobia? Absolutely not. Stereotyping? Quite probably.
" should put a little more thought into future posts if that's not genetically impossible for him/her" was the line used by me and does appear to have been justified now that you have acknowledged that criticism of your comment was "somewhat justified". It was you who made the original reference to genetics and it appears it was somewhat ok for you to use it but not for me to return it. Stereotyping ? Yes. Stereotyping nationalities ? Sometimes a euphemistic cloak for xenophobia, yes. However I accept that it was not your intention to be xenophobic but it is worth remembering we are all Blues, we can all see a blue moon,no matter where we are born or located.

I have no doubt we will be found guilty by UEFA, however; reopening the case we were found guilty of means the deal we agreed to is off the table and we can take our gloves off and take them to court for changing the FFP rules AFTER we submitted our 2012 accounts. UEFA's processes and intentions during FFP will be fully documented and opened to scrutiny as well. It really wont end well for UEFA and the ex G14 clubs.

I am very confident that any ban would be overturned on appeal as we have a strong case. Cant wait for city to take UEFA to court.

I have noticed a change in the balance of reporting in our favour since the last City statement refuting the FFP breach allegations but also reinforcing the view there is a campaign to undermine the Club and commercial interests.

There are more positive articles in the media as matters are now in the open. The leak to ban City from the CL could be a way of getting EUFA off the hook if the case is thrown out because due process was not followed.

Maybe we need to start coming up with our own lexicon of phrases.
Like Post and Pre FFP doping. Or maybe Pre FFP doping could be Elite or Historical Doping.
Or maybe not call it FFP at all. How about Cartel Fund Management rules.

Regarding "misleading" investigators, our acounts are there for all to see. How misleading is having them in the Cayman Islands away from scrutiny.
That wouldn't be allowed would it, under CFM rules. (see above)
Would it?
We should call it NFFP.......NOT... FIT... FOR... PURPOSE, as that is what it is, and to have the words fair play in the title is just to make knownowt fans of the cartel clubs think that they have been fair all these years while raking in top 4/cl money made easier for them by sky and the like......Tossers.

Martin Samuels, in the Daily Fail nails it absolutely. Nothing more need be said other than his closing lines:

"Never forget the clubs who made football all about money in the first place.

What they really hate is City winning at their game."
In fairness they predicted the rise of City by needing to prepare a barrier to entry as a means to prevent our owner from investing.

Their worst fears have actually happened despite collaborating to stop him. Being scared of competition is one thing being in charge of the rule book and still failing to stop our owner shows they are collectively out of our league regarding football as well as being shown how to maximise ones investments.

I agree up to a point. Originally they put the barrier in place and, with growing alarm, they have consistently kept on raising it as the City surge has developed into a tsunami. They'll keep on doing it too. Good job we made it across the drawbridge before the moat became too wide to cross.

I think the main problem for them has been investment. They were certain their previous investment phase was sufficient and they could contain City. Belatedly they spent but without a business plan so we overtook them from a business perspective and our many 50m buys outperformed their high value individual buys.
They are now playing catch up.
