I think should the AC decision be upheld, the next step for FFP will be to try and exclude certain kinds of sponsorship, basically curtailing what they will define as state sponsorship.

That can't be done under law, it's a restriction of trade and would see them taken to the cleaners.

The part in bold is really important - isolating the CFCB from UEFA is the right thing to do, as it allows Ceferin et al some room for manoeuvre.
