Thinking about it more, I'm wondering if Soriano could survive CAS rejecting our appeal. He's putting himself out there a bit with this and really not giving an inch in terms of these allegations having no merit whatsoever and that clear evidence exists to prove it. There's been a lot of "trust me" over the last few days. In any other business the CEO would probably be fired if it didn't work out.

Because nothing says admitting guilt like sacking the ceo, when the club as a whole have outright claimed total innocence.

They won't need to lose out as clubs will still need players and will be paying them, they just won't be foreign ones. Clubs like City will be offering top wages to the better UK Nationals.

i think this is the start of the end for FFP whatever CAS come out with,on the damages how could that be priced you could argue the brand has been damaged already this costing millions if not billions, i dont think UEFA have taken stock of the risk of losing this,we could efectivly bring them down overnight if cleared

well done city for the statement,,IMHO i dont think we have to stick our necks out to win this battle, we dont have to because UEFA will destroy themselves in the process and whatever creditbility they had before this they will lose, ive said it before and i'l say it again UEFA will withdraw the charges at some point before the CAS hearing,of all the clubs they realy have chosen the wrong one to mess with

I do think today's comment was very clever where we have basically said we only have a issue with the FFP investigation rather than Uefa as a whole.

It would not surprise me at all as you say if they withdraw the sanction if it really starts to look shaky.

Respectfully I disagree.

We owe the media in this country nothing. Certainly not an interview they would all be fighting over.

Keep everything in-house, and speak to the media only when absolutely necessary.

They've made their bed with their lives and their racism. Fuck every one of them.

It wasn't about giving the media anything - a proper "friendly" or reasonable journalist could have done the interview , and given it much more credibility

Probably not more but all the top clubs will have a restricted pool to get players from so if you want the best UK Nationals to complete your squad agents will smell money.
