LMAO at thinking a screen shot of an email is proof of anything.

Ruined my night.

One huge issue with that.

We accept a fine we accept guilt and Khaldoon, Ferran etc need to be sacked its that simple.

You dont tell us we have done nothing wrong and will fight this to then accept yet another pinch!

There is always a resolution. I don't believe we will be found guilty of anything more than not being in the spirit of things.

I think it’s fanciful to believe there hasn’t been creative accounting of sorts and I’m sure all big companies if we could see every email or correspondence they send would show all sorts of interesting business practice that the consumer and authorities didn’t know about.

CAS is not actually a court despite the name so the emails can be admitted unfortunately. I don't think that's the worst thing in the world as if Soriano is telling the truth about them disregarding our proof in favour of relying on what out of context emails say, UEFA will just look incredibly amateur.

Understand that CAS isn’t a court, but IF it is taken further then this comes into play, it actually tears holes in the UEFA case in a proper court, say for example ohhhhh I don’t know, a Swiss court.

And agree on the UEFA looking amateur point big time !

Hearts and minds can come later. We aren't winning that war anytime soon.

This is about keeping City in the competitive elite right now.

Not for me it isn't and i suspect not for a lot of City fans who have had a fucking belly full.

We have done nothing wrong so say our execs and that we will fight it to the end.

I expect nothing less and if that ends in punishment anyway so be it but to back down, shake hands with the grubby ****s, let them off the hook and pay some fine which in the eyes of everyone suggests guilt is simply no longer an option.

We do that and certain people in certain positions should fall on their own swords its that simple.

Wasn't aware of the text issue, interesting.

City, however, clearly didn't raise this as an issue or get out of jail free card, as we don't dispute the email content, just the context?

Agree - context is king, suspect there are many threads to the defence - I would say any QC worth his day rate will raise this however, it’s a shot across the bows about taking the case further into proper courts and the fact that this would not stand up as submissable evidence

If we were completely exonerated and UEFA publicly apologised to us, it still wouldn’t stop the murmurs and rumours. Some people have decided we’re corrupt and have cheated and nothing will persuade them otherwise

Possibly but i will settle for the apology and admittance we have done nothing wrong.

Thanks mate. I would suggest it be prudent for this forum to also cut Colin some slack?

He's clearly providing his expert knowledge of the FFP subject with the information that is currently out in the public domain.

It is very helpful for us as layman, but it also needs to be reconciled that Col isn't getting to see the whole picture from City (I bet he wishes he was) so it can't be allowed to be the definitive narrative, just because it is more palatable to us in terms of being cleared.

I say this as someone who is regularly privy to transfers City might be working on, yet can be nailed to the cross for anything that doesn't materialise.

Colin does a great job helping us interpret the public domain information for us, and giving us a view we might not have had.

There is always an obvious caveat that everyone needs to understand that it’s an opinion backed by some but not all of the facts, an informed intelligent one granted but still opinion.

At least he doesn’t give us a series of information on financial dealings of the club interpreted in bloody music videos [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Sounds like "pride comes before the fall "attitude . As long as the ban is overturned and the fine lifted ,result.
Even if that happens the media will find us guilty, pundits also. So what !
