You are all in the dark. The real story goes back to 1963 when the Alexander family arranged the assassination of JFK. Marilyn Monroe was having an affair with Bert Trautmann....the rest is history, but not ours obvs as we don't have any.
Ah, the American dream, I remember that.
Babe Ruth R.I.P.

yes because most title winning teams don’t suddenly become the red rum equivalent overnight and from nowhere. Title winning season they lost 3 games and finished on 81 points. Season after they lost 18 games and got 44, season after they lost 15 games
City won the league in 1937 and got relegated in 1938.

City finished 15th in 1967, won the league in 1968 and finished 13th in 1969.

It does happen mate.

Again with the protecting of the brand; I reckon lots of players who are “injured” aren’t injured but are serving bans for failed drug tests, but it’s not released by the PL.
I've said that for years. Not necessarily Peds but recreational drugs and its been swept under the carpet. Some of our players over the years should have been on Peds :-)

Personally I think an awful lot of stories are swept under the carpet, it's bad for the football brand, (like the rigged world cups to Russia and Qatar and PEDs). Football authorities generally prefer to ignore/suppress them. It was the FBI investigation that exposed the FIFA corruption wasn't it?

It was the FBI that exposed FIFA and I think the FBI credited the UAE for passing on email information

With the hints by multiple people, is it worth putting something on City coming 2nd and therefore winning the PL, Betfair and PP are 250-1 ?
:-)

Never crossed my mind that UEFA was skating on thin ice; I expect they have evidence of wrongdoing. I also expect City have counter-evidence. Further, I expect we've been compiling notes since taking 'a pinch' as we would've known at that time the forces ranged against us; the targets have been lazed and the ordnance is ready to rain.

I don't know any of that for a fact; it's what I believe. By the end of the day I might be sweeping the crazy-paving jigsaw off the table in a fit of pique and starting over one piece at a time. Ignoring the hyperbole and reading between the lines is a painstaking process. But anyway, the main point I was making (and I wasn't having a go at you) is it's okay to embrace a little hope.

According to a very well respected poster and ITK on here Uefa are relying on the 4 Newspaper articles in Der Spiegl and not much else. i'd call that very thin ice.

No I would say. The powers that be won’t let it happen. And nor should it.
Dippers have been the best team this season. No matter how much we hate them, they have been fantastic.
Just like we were last season.
Whatever goes on behind the scenes the players have played in good faith. Whoever wins the league then those set of players have deserved it.
It would be hard for any organisation to go against that and deduct points either this season or retrospectively for previous seasons.
Save your money

Or maybe he does have an idea of the story but dare not make any reference to it because of legal ramifications

If I had the story, I wouldn't be still so uncertain what the ultimate outcome would be.

I'm sure City have not spent the last few years sat idle when it comes to knowing where the bodies are buried, however.

Whatever our club has or doesn't have, why would they want to telegraph it, especially so, when we have cited how unprofessional the leaks have been concerning this whole Uefa process investigation so far.

I want to believe there is a smoking gun, an exhibit A, but I don't see how that needs to be brought out at CAS, unless we take it further to the Swiss Courts.

You don't spend £20k a day on a lawyer who is an expert on legislative procedure, if you have an Uzi under the silks?

Whatever happens in the next few months, I don't envisage that will be the end of it.

PB clearly has his own sources for info and I respect that.

City don't need the media on this one. This is about people who know what the fuck they are talking about, the best in their chosen professions.

Blues need to remind themselves, most football media types say what they think, not what they know.

I've said this many times. I can drive a car relatively fast... Lewis Hamilton, does not it make.

Just had a watch of this and it clarified a few things for me, I don't know how spot on this fella is but he seems eloquent and hasn't got a squint or an axe to grind.

Thanks for that but he didn't seem to contemplate the possibility we might not have actually breached FFP?

He was basically arguing our expensive legal team would argue the investigation process might not have been sufficiently independent
