This thread reminds me of that Aviva add where the woman is interrogating the bloke on if his door lock conforms to BSA standards. He frustratingly shouts, "I don't know!! Nobody knows!!!" I fear the same applies here, though a lot appear to know the answers, do they?

It’s a good job we all know about BS3621 locks though right

Could it be that City is so sure of winning that they use this as a way of putting more pressure on UEFA? The amount of damages we can sue them for will just get bigger, and furthermore UEFA should be more motivated to get this resolved ASAP.

The problem for UEFA if we dont ask for a suspension and there isn't a ruling before the next CL is even higher damages if we win. What would be the damages involved if we were banned but subsequently won at CAS?

Damages not a patch on actually playing in CL

Agreed but I'd say the damages would be so big that UEFA couldn't shrug them off. Even giving us what the winners earn wouldn't get anywhere near it as I assume damage to the brand, exemplary damages and legal fees etc would be astronomical.

It has been reported that clubs have an agreement with uefa that neither can claim damages against the other.

i wouldn't think damages is what the club is after, more a swift resolution.

Either way, plenty of time to request a suspension, once the adjudicators are selected.

They also have an agreement not to disclose details of the ongoing case

I'm not aware of any journos sitting on a massive expose.

The only way I could see it being the case, is if The Times or FT have been promised it by City at a time of our choosing.

Personally, if we have dirt on our rivals, I don't see any gain relying on the UK media to report it.

Airing it in court makes it legal and opens it up to the world.
