It’s like the end of a world title fight & both boxers walk around with their arms high as the winners.
Damien Comolli, or whatever he's called. Now at Fenerbache and used to be with the dippers, and he was as popular there as the Sun. I think the bloke who did the pod (Ormstein) is an Arsenal fan and find it hard to believe they are putting this sort of thing out as a City podcast. It is.
I was listening to the Why Always Us podcast yesterday from The Athletic and they had some French guy on the show saying UEFA are very very confident that CAS will find us guilty.
This, after I was equally positive that we would win, tempered my confidence.
Now TH has me more positive again.
Who knows...hope is good...even false hope is quite good. He’s obviously heard something good but doesn’t want to say.
The dragons are dead :)
I don’t see how anyone can really know unless they have an inside line to CAS, and even then we’d need to know what all 3 judges think, and I can’t believe both sides have submitted all their stuff yet.Damien Comolli, or whatever he's called. I do really, really want to believe those that seem to have contacts around people at City and believe the bullishness that we'll win at CAS.
However is it fair to say they were bullish that we wouldn't be found guilty by UEFA in the first place?
I have no faith in anything around UEFA and am expecting the worst from CAS but that City will fight on in the courts.
Probably not fair. It was Sam Lee that was confident but he didn’t say it had come from City. Our statement indicates we knew it was coming.

Plenty have won there, partially or totally.Until CAS give their judgement everything said is conjecture and opinion. Some well informed but most not. The test for City is whether the owners are prepared to take it go another court after CAS as being slightly cynical on how these things work, we will end up with some or all of the penalties imposed. Faces have to be saved. I cannot believe that we will walk away from CAS as victors
The club definitely knew it was coming I reckon. I posted on here - in the Pep thread - on 2nd Jan that I’d heard we were getting a 3 year ban with 2 suspended.
That interview with Comolli was originally on a regular Athletic pod by Ormstein and Chapman a few days earlier. So much for their so-called City coverage.Exactly what I thought. Pretty confusing.
Well, I've not shown my arse on the town hall steps for a while and it isn't as pretty as it used to be ........ butPlenty have won there, partially or totally.
Not sure that’s how CAS works. As far as I know it’s completely independent from booefa?Until CAS give their judgement everything said is conjecture and opinion. Some well informed but most not. Have to say, I've ditched The Athletic over their coverage of this. I clicked to unsubscribe about three weeks ago, and though I still have access, I haven't visited it since. Was very disappointed by an almost total failure to concede that there may even be a City side to this story, let alone explore what it might be.That interview with Comolli was originally on a regular Athletic pod by Ormstein and Chapman a few days earlier. I won't be back.
As much as Qatari Harris and DeLooney lead a Eastern-led line... Athletic have led an agreesive media surge from the American shores. Can't think of of any clubs with American owners... oh wait.Agree. Not just on this subject but overall the content is poor. Shame really as they signed up some decent writers.
