I think we might know by the end of next week how things are panning out.

Either side won't be able to help themselves.
Both sides will have a very good feel for the likely outcome based on the hearing. I've had cases where I've been the client and the barristers have said at the end of the trial, "we have definitely lost" but usually its more finely balanced than that. If we start to spend and plan in a meaningful way, we will have an indication that they are positive.

A lot seems to be riding on Lord Pannick. You would think he can only work with the material he has to hand and I don't think UEFA will be employing a no win, no fee shyster from Zurich who normally specialises in whiplash claims.

There are two sectors of society which I hold in contempt above all others.

Having been married to a journalist for ten years , it took me that long to find out the truth about what lying trash they are.

Second on the list , the legal profession . I went through hell over eight years , suing two solicitors and a brief , for professional negligence. It nearly bankrupted me, but I won in the end , albeit , an on the steps , without prejudice , full and final settlement.

I still want Pannick to win, and thereby clear City's name.

Difference being Lord Pannick having the appropriate material to hand means Uefa can't do a fucking thing about it.

UEFA's own counsel are there to justify the AC's original findings.

CAS are there to rule without prejudice and with all the relevant material which Pannick can now bring forth.

It is bollocks, tbf. He’s extremely highly regarded, for good reason. No idea why you’re trying to downplay his reputation.

I am just trying to lay out his current record .

He won the prorogation case because the SC was biased in his favour.

On a level playing field , he lost.

I can picture it now. We go in on Manday quite confident but we're struggling. Pannick and the other QC, Paul Harris, aren't really firing on all cylinders and UEFA's team are defending for their lives but just before lunch on the Tuesday, they land a key blow and we're in the driving seat. Everything looks like it's falling into place for the second half of the hearing but their QC makes a great point when one of our guys gets things a bit wrong and concedes an easy point soon after lunch. Things get a bit tetchy from then and one of their lawyers gets a bit too excited and has to be sent out of the meeting.

Things look good for us but somehow Pannick nad Harris let their guard down and UEFA get their noses in front. That affects them and they can't do anything right from there on. It gets to just before 5pm on the Wednesday and UEFA look safe for the win but Harris makes a great point and it's in the balance. Pannick walks to the back of the room and gives a piece of paper to one of his support team, who digs in a file and gives him one back. Then Pannick puts the killer point to the panel as the clock ticks towrds 5. The judges look at each other and nod and case thrown out thanks to Pannicks's last minute intervention.

That nutter Deloony will be quoting you on twitter again Col, haha.

Oh, just one more question Monsieur Leterme: how come you declared PSG to be compliant?
Because PSG respected the desiderata of the IC and accepted to sell several players in 15 days after the devaluation of contracts whose value were set and agreed by the same UEFA in 2014.
