Thankyou @tolmie's hairdoo , @Nicholas van Whatsisface & @MillionMilesAway for the replies. I googled it but it was not as definitive as your responses.
Am I right in thinking he is in some way tied to Qatar? If that is the case did the association start at the same time as his alleged food veto?

If you go on Rabin twitter feed and scroll down a couple weeks you can see the timeline of cakegate and said pictures.

No idea about possible Qatari connections.

His hypocrisy stems from working for a newspaper owned by Russian and Saudi investors.

Thankyou, I'll check out Rabin.
It does amaze me that supposedly intelligent people can come out with nonsense that is so easily debunked as such.

I'll refrain from saying what he should be tied to or he'll be all over Twitter claiming I'm inciting his murder.

But his attitude changed noticeably between the Brighton game and the FA Cup final.

The piece he wrote as a 'report' on the Cup Final was one of the most pathetic, reprehensible things I think I've read by a hack. Barely a mention of the game, but lots of whinging about having ruined the cup.

As he wore the Emirates lanyard around his neck and ate even more cake in the press lounge...

That Delaney bloke is a fucking weapon.

The fact is that preventing human right abuses is something that all people should agree on. He starts off on the correct footing. However, his means of getting his point across shows him up as hypocritical and opportunistic, who seemingly uses human rights to take cheap shots at certain football clubs.

If he went after our owners and made the distinction between Abu Dhabi and City, then I’d wager that a lot of blues would actually support his message. Yet he is the one who deliberately conflates the issue to be the fault of City and the fans.

The moment you start accusing fans of supporting human rights abuses, for following the club they have supported long before the takeover, then expect some form of backlash.

However, and this is the crux of the issue for me and why I will call these journalists out as hypocritical ****s, is that they stoke the flames of the argument. They are the ones with the accusational tones towards the fans and they are quick to use online comments by a small group of mentally ill or backwards fans as the voice of all City fans.

The nature of their approach makes me believe that the issue of human rights is more of a stick used to beat City with and appeal the the Rags and Dippers than the actual cause they are supposed to support.
