No is the short and sweet answer. I doubt UEFA would want to in the first place and they could only take it to the Swiss Federal courts on a failure of procedure (I think) from CAS. That would actually be hilarious. No other 'interested' parties would bother. In fact the PL would then have to drop their investigation.

thanks for the reply

just hope it goes ourwaay

0ur execs would have t be really arrogant (which they are not) to go this far and not believe they havent done anything wrong. This is whyIm hopeful on this.

It’s not a case of trusting them. They’ll know where their bread is buttered. IMO.
My point is that g## and seemingly most of PL clubs, are aligned against us. The golf club we joined prefers us out, yet its top officer is redundant when anything concerning City is decided upon. Are we trying to form a new golf club or get our enemies to have less influence?

I can certainly believe that City wanted this in front of an independent body. I know that those with legal expertise doubt that, but there’s a huge game of politics at play here and that’s a different game. City want this done in the open. Soriano’s and Ceferin’s comments suggest a new relationship with UEFA to come. Of course the late 20th century dinosaurs and their won’t be happy and maybe a split will ensue. The power will be with us though.
The power will always be with the istree clubs. Uefa are desperate to have Bayern, Lierpool, the rags, the Spanish duo and a few others in their competitions. TV money talks. That's why they always roll over for g14.
Until the game is regulated by a body separate from the comp rights holder, those clubs will hold all the aces.

Genuine question to all you ITKs, if the chumps draw is on Friday do I understand it correctly we won’t be in it because of the 2 Y ban ? and if that’s true and when we are exonerated on the 13th will they have to redraw it or just take who replaces us ?

Isn't this draw for the minicomp which finishes this season's CL? We will be in that regardless. (Second leg v Real needs to be won first)

I don’t think the threat of split from g14 to Uefa is that strong really post COVID. Say there is another pandemic?
A g14 league that depends on travel of playerS, thousands of fans and media between countries Would be a nightmare.

Whilst I would tend to agree mate and we must not get carried away, my own personal opinion (FWIW) is that this whole thing has been gamed-out for months.

A multi-billion pound business cannot risk its entire model and reputation on a 50/50 verdict over a three-day arbitration hearing.

Bluffs and counter-bluffs have been called, but in reality, there is surely too much damage involved for pragmatism to have not come to the fore way before now?

It is absolute folly and bravado at best to have not reached a suitable settlement beforehand, unless..

A) our evidence is so clear cut it should have been evident to CAS.

B) It was in someone's interests to have let it go this far.

C) A deal was done months ago behind the scenes by the real power brokers and City are complicit.

If it is none of the above and our appeal is not upheld, then we have been stupid beyond belief, irrespective of our own conviction at innocence.

Plenty of innocent people have been imprisoned.

I don't really care which one we are, only that we beat this charge and we've not just bet it all on black at the turn of a wheel.
Totally agree, I will be utterly shocked if we loose the case, but lets enjoy the moment when the decision is given, I want Khaldoon and Ferran on camera as the verdict is read out!

Re C) I can’t see (or indeed comprehend) what kind of deal we might have brokered that would involve us then taking ex-post facto part in a dead rubber CAS hearing. I can’t imagine that (if they’d been made aware) CAS would countenance such a hearing taking place, or that if CAS found in UEFA’s favour they (UEFA) would withdraw their original punishment and replace it with whatever might have been previously agreed behind the scenes. There would be uproar, and it would also add weight to the notion of City buying the powers that be, off.

I’m more inclined to believe that the hearing was ‘real’ because UEFA (or rather the usual suspects) wouldn’t agree to a deal

It’s the next 2 season, not this season, even though I am most certainly not “ITK” on anything

A deal might of been done to make the trial look ' real '.
Uefa lawyers rolling up with just a few parts of a hacked email conversation and no other evidence.

Whenever there's a bullish sentiment coming from the club and the informed on here, I tend to err to the more pessimistic side (as normal), so I'm psychologically preparing for a lifetime ban and relegation to the National league north so I'll be pleasantly surprised hopefully come the verdict.

Says it all when we're worrying about this because of a hack to persecute a technicality, when if the same was done to certain other clubs they could be relegated without need of a trial.

That’s the spirit!!

Let me be clear (in my Obama voice), I have no knowledge of why they have been left with that impression, I certainly don't expect City to have told them out of courtesy.

I suspect it could be more to do with them gauging the demeanour of our own executive team.

To be fair, and to tamp down any overexcitement on here (some chance!), although that's nice to hear, it really doesn't mean any more than we've already heard. We've known for a while the club is confident. They've just transmitted that confidence to the Liverpool c-suite.
