That Pep interview distancing himself and the team from the events from years ago is the last thing anybody wanted to read before bed.

So to summarise, on one side we have Pep talking like the ban will stand, on the other had we have a secretary of a supporters club and a freelance journo recently sacked by City saying we have won !!!!

The distancing language from Pep has me concerned. Second time he’s also referenced winning it on the pitch as if the success has had nothing to do with any indiscretions. I’m feeling a lot less confident.

Maybe nothing but Pep said the board will make a statement on Monday about the next month, short term and the future or something similar. That has me concerned a little.
He said the club will make a statement on Monday after the announcement.
That will relate to the outcome of the hearing
Nothing about the next month short term or the future
Why the fuck can people not understand what is written or said and stop adding bits on

Well I think there is zero chance they don't know the outcome. So I'm not sure where we are

Theres something odd in all this that I can’t quite put my finger on. Pep saying he will “give his statement” after Monday suggests he already knows what he wants to say.

Obviously In terms of basic outcomes there can only be a ban or no ban, but it’s nagging me that when this is announced there will be an element of the judgement from leftfield that no one has called - hence the almost inconceivable level of confidentiality around it.

At least you’ve lived up to your username.

You are completely wrong pal listen it again towards the end. You are the one who needs to get their hearing tested!!

From the "long time ago" quote, there are two not so good things I can infer. Either Pep knows that we have lost and he is trying to distance himself and his staff so that media won't be after him. That's why he keeps on mentioning "on the pitch" every time just to show that he has done his job and he is not involved in anything else. Or he doesn't know the result and just giving his opinion.

"Aside from the CEO, the Finance Director, the Chairman, the key non-executive go between Abu Dhabi and City and the General Counsel, 90% of the people here today weren't even involved at the time of the breaches. I am so so so confident we will be completely cleared and the club will explain its next steps of appeal on Monday."

Maybe we’re reading too much into the distancing thing. For that to be true a series of events will have needed to occur.

We lost
CAS have communicated that loss
Execs shared that with Pep
Execs agree to leak in advance
Execs use Pep as their voice piece
Pep agrees

Surely the above breaks down somewhere.
