I don’t think ‘breach of trust’ appears anywhere in the UEFA statement. Lack of cooperation does as does ‘serious breaches of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations by overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016.’

But nothing about trust

Precisely :)

It does smack of ‘goalpost moving’ though doesn’t it? Can’t get us for FFP, well that’s not good enough, so they keep going and going till they find something, anything, to catch us on, or so they think.

Yeah definitely. Unfortunately for us though it’s got to a stage where the final outcome is all that matters so let’s just hope we can get the better of the twats.

Similar case for ourselves. Bottom line booked profit was £16 million for us in the last set of accounts?

A court case stays off the p and l I assume, and in cases like this we really do have the backing of a small country.

Something UEFA most certainly don’t.

There is a lot of mixed messages in this thread and on this site. City have a turnover of circa £400m, UEFA have circa £2.7bn, if City are not state owned how is it that the weight/power/wealth of a state comes into play over a court case? Surely they are seperate or they not?

Not sure it will be that simple.

If you haven't already, read this that Ric posted

Seems like he's saying we have a strong case for CAS, however if they rule against us then we have little to no hope in the courts.

Basically it's CAS ruling in our favour or nothing.

The thing I don’t get with that run through is that it only really covers the issue in process, surely, given our statement that we have “irrefutable evidence”, one of our key points will be proving our innocence in the whole thing rather than trying to get off via a process?

I’m still in two minds about the whole thing tbh as we are going off peoples words and nothing else really, but the other thing that does give me some optimism is us selling the shares in November. I cannot believe for one second that due diligence wasn’t done at that point by Silver Lake and they would have wanted to see the evidence themselves, given the investigation was ongoing at that point. It’s not as if they invested at a cut down price either.

What Conn is saying is true, that is what we are being accused off.

He’s not said that we have done it, but that is what UEFA have done us for

Don’t get me wrong I have issues with him, but we can’t pretend this is not what has happened.

No he has said we've done it. He quite deliberately said we have been found guilty of it, and then went on a rant about how disgusting and out of control it was for Manchester City to call into question the integrity of the two UEFA panels.

That's key to understanding Conn's position. His starting point is that we are definitely guilty and we are completely wrong to complain about fairness or lack of process or question independence of the decision.

That's why when @Prestwich_Blue shows him that ADUG didn't fund Etihad's deals, he doesn't say "Hmm that's at odds to what I saw in der spiegel and not exactly what we're hearing from UEFA", he says "It's just another way they are guilty".

Because our owners personal fortune makes uefa look like paupers.
