We desperately need the next Torres or Raul to come to the fore, because we aren’t winning anything with Morata and the current crop of other forwards.

We have arguably one of the best (young) midfields in international football but one of the worst forward lines of the top 20 nations.

You've got Rodri and Laporte; stop whining. Malta would give their left bollock for two players like that tomorrow evening.



And possibly their right one as well!

Villa and Torres the last decent strikers?

May need to start focusing on false 9’s that can keep the attacks flowing then.

Too much too soon as well in games - Pedri.

I’m hoping the doesn’t have an injury plagued career. He’s lovely to watch.
 
****’s challenge from Immobile on Laporte.

Knew exactly what he was doing and then acted like he didn’t touch Laporte.

We have tried the false 9 setup. It has allowed us to do well in the group stages but, as soon as we come up against decent sides our lack of a cutting edge up top becomes a huge problem, as good defences are able to cover the interchange, with none of the players playing false 9 being particularly good at finishing when they do find space, mostly on the edge of the box (thus lots of wasted chances).
