Doesn’t bear thinking about if we hadn’t beaten them.
Yes it would be three finals they'd won in a row now lol

Glenn Hoddle is an absolute ballbag of a man.still going on about the community Shield.they should of won easily in the 2nd half apparently. No mention of Adrian being a foot off his line for the last penno off any of them.
It's his karma!Should have, would have, could have......didn't! Hoddle, if ever God made a mistake he is living proof.
Their nails.I've always wondered why they have an assistant referee stand on the goal line for penalty shootouts? I mean they're not calling it when keepers are off their line so what are they doing?
Looks anything but solid to me. Gets knocked off the ball just by looking at him, hasn’t got the athleticism or the control and low centre of gravity needed to keep the ball, nor the pace to simply outrun players and take them on. I see no standout attributes from him. He has a fierce shot and that’s it. Not saying he can’t or won’t be good in the future but I see nothing from him to suggest he’s ready for that level right now.
Surprised Hoddle didn't say Liverpool lost to City because of something that they did in a previous life.Should have, would have, could have......didn't! Hoddle, if ever God made a mistake he is living proof.
Disagree, this game will have served both teams well. Obviously theyll now just rest up pretty much til their next matchGreat this. They'll be heading into the second game of the season with their legs feeling like its January
I don't think it's worth making an issue of the last pen. Didn't the Liverpool fans try and claim Bravo came off his line on the penalty he saved in the charity shield? As well as claiming Jesus should have had to retake his, even though there was nothing wrong with his run up by the laws of the game. I laughed at them then, so I'm fine with the pens here. It was a poor penalty, that he was probably going to save anyway. If anything, Keper should have already kept atleast one of the pens that he got a hand to, out before that.
For pens in general, going forward under VAR. Player encroachment is one thing but I think keepers should be given some leeway as long as they don't take liberties. Not sure what the rules actually say to the letter but that seems the fairest way.
BBC on line calls this an "emphatic" win. Hmmmm......
