UEFA U-21 European Championship 2011

Denmark should have at least one goal by now, Switzerland's keeper is having a blinder.

Only saw portions of the second half. Shaqiri looked good though and Switzerland's keeper had a great game. How did Eriksen play?

why is it that the spanish can field four players with top international experience, who are obviously not too tired
and yet our 'top' stars, ie Carroll and Wilshere, can't make it due to all the games they've played?

just shows how little our Premier League players care for the national team

There are alot more games in the English season though. In Spain they have a winter break, and only one domestic cup. We don't and have two domestic cups.

Basically yea they don't give a shit, like pearce said we need to take this tournament seriously but obviously 90% of the country don't. I liked what thaigo said about our u21's being nothing to fear because we don't we don't have Richards or Wilshire as they are the only good players we have.

"The only ones we really know are Jack Wilshere and Micah Richards, but they are not here," said Alcântara. "That is good news for us because they are good players.

and how many of those games has Carroll played in?

Maybe not Carroll, but Wilshere featured in a lot of those games.
wilshere has been overused by Arsenal this season, but Carroll has hardly broken sweat and so should be there
Micah was up for going and he's played a fair few games this season

Arse and Liverpool care very little for England

I'm not really trying to justify it, just saying the "tiredness" excuse is probably more valid for the English players, than the Spanish ones.

Czech Republic U21 vs Ukraine U21 kicks off in 45 minutes at 5pm.

Then the biggest match of the tournament, besides the final, Spain U21 vs England U21 at 7:45pm.
