I flicked between the England and Scotland games and it has to be said, the Jocks were bloody awful. They got lucky last night, and could have lost by 4 or 5. Their passing was wayward and ill-timed, defensively they were a total mess and they seemed to run out of ideas after about the 20 minute mark.

I genuinely have seen better pub football.

Both Jen Beattie and Jane Ross missing. They would probably be their best players.

Must say, I'm loving watching these girls, some seriously skilled play involved, it's just the pace that's lacking.
Having said that, you can pick up the nuances of the game better, so in general, good stuff.

Maybe it's because I have daughters and one plays football but I have a huge amount of respect for these women and love watching their matches. Makes it even better that most if not all aren't getting rich from football. They play because they love it.

Pity Henry V isn't around to give them a rousing pre battle, sorry, match, talking to. It worked in the rugby world cup a few years ago.

They are fun to watch aren't they? I love that you rarely see them go to ground from contact.

They don't shirk a tackle either and the ref generally just waves play on! There aren't that many bookings in women's football either because there aren't that many cynical fouls.

I rate this England side defensively, probably no coincidence given four of the back five are from City.

We've been very sound at the back, the opposition has had very few attempts on goal across all three games so far.

Probably just as well as our keeper has been known to drop the occasional clanger.

Millie Bright looks a bit like Bet Lynch and if she piles her hair up any higher she'll look more like Marge Simpson.
