If this doesn't bring buzzer out of hiding, nowt will.

Lol ^^^^^

They were great by the way......Two hour set, Mogg's voice as good as ever. (Though did drop down a key for a couple of particularly hard to sing songs) He was chatty and with a beer in hand seemed 'relaxed' (But not too relaxed to affect his performance, lol)

Paul Raymond doesn't seem to have aged much at all, the two 'new' guys on guitar and bass were top notch players and performers....fitted in well.

Few tracks from the new album went down a storm (it's been out long enough for people to get to know them) and of course all the classics were played (including my fave Love To Love) ending inevitably with Rock Bottom, before the encore of Doctor Doctor and Shoot Shoot.....cracking night....

Sounds like a cracking gig, always a very underestimated band in my opinion, would loved to have been there if it wasn't for The Waterboys being on the same night.

Certainly was mate. It also coincided with a couple of other things we fancied, Aussie comedian Steve Harris at the Lowry being one of them....busy night.

And just realised totally forgot Ian McNabb gig at Academy 3 tonight. Bugger....

Glad you enjoyed it, Gaudino.

3 bands stand out from my youth: DC with Bon Scott, Roth era Van Halen and UFO.

I was lucky enough to see UFO at their peak, with Schenker, at the Free Trade and saw them countless times later with Paul Chapman.

With Pete Way now gone, I didn't fancy it.

How they didn't end up millionaires is beyond me, though i know that drink, drugs and bad management contributed.

"Obsession" is still on my car stereo and remains a classic and also a must hear for any kid picking up a guitar.

remember the album `force it', had a great cover, two chicks making out in a shower in a black and white bathroom. Schenker was a great front man...I remember getting a girl friend to stitch the ufo logo on the back of my denim jacket...along with ac/dc, triumph and other patches. I just ordered tickets for Iron Maiden in Salt Lake, aug 1st
