Speaking of books I’ve read Bravo Two Zero but McNabs other book Immediate Action about his life and joining up getting through selection etc is very good. By all accounts McNab is not liked much by the others, seen as a bit of billy big bollocks. Always find stuff about them interesting, used to see them around at Brize doing parachute courses.

On BBC iPlayer, under 'From The Archive' section, there is a programme called Behind The Lines, filmed in 1985. I presume because of the interest after both the Iranian seige and the Falklands war. Well worth a watch.

15 years ago i was quite pally with Ollie out of Who Dares Wins and still exchange rare fb messages. Decent lad. His best stories are from his time doing security in the aftermath of Iraq 2, rather than being in the SBS itself.

my pal runs an Audi dealership and became mates with united head of security, after sorting the company cars, (not that cock ned kelly) who is ex SAS. He has been to charity do’s at Sterling Lines and i was due to go last year. Maybe next year.
The likes of Ant Middleton are absolutely not welcome or liked and are deemed bull shitters.
He was apparently very low ranked withing the SAS and wouldnt have seen much action due to his rank.

Ok ... all this is allegedly of course and possibly totally made up for any watching lawyers ;)

new head of security is ex SAS. I know this to be factual. Lets call him henry.
after taking over from ned klly, henry got a call off paul massey , presuming that he is on the same deal as before with kelly, a fistful of tickets for every home game at OT in exchange for a fistful of cash.
henry said, “well lets meet in the trafford centre for a chat. But come alone. Ill be alone , you be alone”.
Massey agreed.

henry got there nice n early, alone, and clocked half a dozen scrotes watching him when massey turned up.
He told massey in no uncertain terms that he wouldnt be receiving 1 ticket.
Cue threats by massey, do you know who you are fucking with etc.

henry stopped him, said hes clocked the scrotes hes brought, he isnt one tiny bit worried as he has 10 ex SAS watching you right now (he didnt but ...) and if he wants to check out his background he will be happy to meet again. Massey looked round, couldnt see anyone, obviously, but presumes they were hid in plant pots etc. He sulked off with threats against henry but was never heard of again.
Massey may have been tough, but he wasnt SAS tough ;)
