UK breaks

just come back from a place called lakeland just outside grange over sands, it a haven site but brilliant for young kids , i was really impressed

Derbyshire Dales are nice. Anywhere Matlock and closer to Manchester.

Stayed in Ashbourne a few weekends ago, cycled Tissington Trail. Stunning countryside. Not sure about for a one year old. Would suggest Llandudno for very young family break.

Have you considered Bournemouth? The beach there is really very nice, sandy and not stones.
Your family would probably enjoy the Oceanarium Bournemouth and the Bournemouth Pier. The pier is an activity centre with a climbing wall, zip line and obstacle course.

There are also art museums and it is on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site.

If you are going in August they have a cracking air festival.

Sorry but I hated Bournemouth. It was like being in Manchester with a rock face and some sand.Loved Swanage though.
