UK far right trouble

Hooray. Somebody talking sense. I am very disappointed that people here are just shouting party slogans. The post which said it’s all down to Tory cuts was particularly childish. I’m not a supporter of either of the main parties so the silly blame game doesn’t interest me at all. What I would like to see in the longer term is a reformed House of Lords whose remit was to set up bi- partisan committees of actual experts to produce proposals for long term problems like immigration management, BBC funding, devolution, energy policy, LA funding etc etc not hamstrung by a 5 year planning horizon based on the need to win votes. Tony Blair set up such a body to look at energy. They came back with an answer that nuclear was clearly the best option. Blair took fright and just ignored the report. The gov of the day should be required to answer to those proposals. You may say that I’m a dreamer……

I absolutely agree we need a government that thinks 20+ years ahead and not just over the course of the next parliament. I think it’s natural you’re going to find people are frustrated at the Tories and yes they can post here proselytising and debating the harm they’ve done. While that is going to be cathartic for many it isn’t going to fix our problems.

The Tories spent 14 years blaming Labour and I really hope we aren’t about to experience a decade plus of Labour blaming the Tories.

At some point we need to see the rubber hit the road and start fixing the bits of our society that need fixing. And that’s going to need serious policy discussion. Starting with what we do about these yobs.

I understand what you're saying but how does anybody protest about what the Government is doing (or not doing) about illegal migration?

The basis of my protest is the fact that:-
a) we have a terrible homeless problem in this country and cannot house the people who are already here.
b) we have a terrible problem with getting to see our doctors... put bluntly you literally cannot.
c) we have a terrible problem with getting treatments in hospital where there are waiting lists of over a year for treatments.
c) we have a terrible problem with a large number of the current population getting to see a dentist - they quite literally cannot.
d) we have a terrible problem with education there are literally not enough school places for people to comfortably send their children to good local schools.
e) we have terrible problem with the cost of living crisis, people are struggling just to feed their families.
f) we have a terrible problem with the fuel crisis and the Government in its infinite wisdom has decided to take away the winter fuel allowance from the elderly and introduce a means benefit allowance, which is highly likely to cost more to implement than it will save.
g) taking all the above into account I am concerned that adding to our number via illegal immigrants will only increase the pressures on all the above and people are genuinely scared about their future.

These are amongst other things, the issues that bother me and I want to protest about. Please don't say at the ballot box because that has already been proven to be ineffective. Starmer has attracted less than 35% of the national vote yet has a very powerful grip via a stunning majority of 167 seats in the House of Commons, I don't like that either, it is totally unjust and unfair.

How does the majority get its voice heard?

Finally, I am totally against violence and attacking Police Stations and Mosques etc.... but if I turn up for a peaceful rally to make the above points or even enter conversation to the same end I am a Right Wing Fascist and a Racist am I?
If you're at a rally and someone is waving a Nazi flag and not one person kicks that person out of the rally, then you're at a fucking Nazi rally

Situation in Rotherham looks particularly worrying, especially if reports that the rioters have now set fire to the hotel are true. That's really fucked up. They should be up on attempted murder charges.
It’ll be arson with intent (or being reckless) to endanger life, which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

That doesn't mean some of the people turning up to protests aren't concerned parents it's just don't you agree with them/or are attaching the behaviour of the thugs and the far right to them. Take the protests in Liverpool for example, scan the crowd, listen to the views they aren't all far right but we are losing them to far right voices because we just keep calling them racist.

Also, half the knob heads out for ruck aren't far right either. I've met real far right people and they are much more sinister than this.

Why on Earth would concerned parents attend anything like this?? I know of nobody who is concerned, most parents will be more concerned about the violent disorder on the streets.

These knobheads are out not because they're concerned, they want to get rid of the brown people and no we should not be listening their concerns. They've actually now abandoned their right to an opinion.

Rest assured the intelligence will be being collected and many of them will wish they hadn't been 'so concerned'. They shouldn't worry about it because it'll be far safer for them in their cell.

The real concerned parents will be the ones trying to calm their scared kids in houses in the areas where the riots are happening.
