UK far right trouble

John Hammond was on the right track when he built that Jurrasic Park thingy.

Our Keir should reinvest that Rwanda cash and buy some remote island - failing that Isle of Man will do :) - and cart these right wing nut jobs off to it, let them have spitfires and statues etc, throw in the murderers, terrrorists etc and they can all live thuggerley ever after, big electric fence around it, lunch of stella and kebabs for em, problem solved.

Yvette Cooper, I know you read the political advice on here, just drop us a DM for more info hun x

Because of a silly post that if you've done nothing wrong you never need to fear the police. It would obviously prompt people to think of exceptions. I'd have gone for the Barnsley pie riots.
Aside from that rather obvious example, I find it surprising that on a football forum of all places there seems to be an ignorance of all the instances of unwarranted police brutality at football matches down the years, the worst of which was probably this one https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...0-000-payout-after-police-attack-9143266.html in our own city which involved fans of Newcastle and Sheffield United being attacked ahead of their FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.

Sarah Everard's family strongly disagree with your old man.

The police as an organisation are stacked full of good honest people who do everything they can to keep us safe and always will be.

What you and a few others I note are doing is picking individuals out and trying to claim they represent the whole service which is completely wrong and no better than the idiots who paint all Muslims as terrorists etc because of the actions of a few.

My old man's advice has stood me in very good stead the last 53 years as far as I am concerned.

It's still the exception, some people just haven't grown up enough to accept the police are needed and should be supported.

But you knew that already didn't you Vic?
I suppose you can say covering up who was primarily responsible for the deaths of 97 innocent football fans and putting the blame back onto fans for that one is an exception too. Never mind West Midlands Police being renowned for writing confessions back in the 70s, or beating them out of people. And of course, there’s the recent high profile case of the wrongful conviction of Andrew Malkinson. I’ll also add that you can’t have been to too many football matches to not be aware of all the examples of unwarranted police brutality that have taken place down the years but yeah, all law-abiding citizens have nothing to fear from the police, ever.

But…..I think it’s also fair to say that there are plenty of decent coppers and they often have a thankless task. Last night they had every right to go in hard on the rioters IMO, and I also have empathy with those involved in the Manchester Airport altercation which was a fast moving incident where the officers barely had time to think.

39 police officers injured last night according to the BBC.

39 people just doing their job in the wake of an already abhorrent evil event that’s ripped the community apart.

All because some thickos just want any excuse to kick off.
It's shocking. I've just read the BBC report and as far as I can see, there was nothing about any arrests.
I would like to think that at least some of the knuckle-draggers involved would be arrested and convicted.

EDIT: The Guardian report calls it a riot and saying that Keir Starmer says the rioters will feel the force of the law. I feel marginally better now.
