He's got the same routine for every news event. Place himself in the "rational middle" and dog whistle about what he really means.
Farage is desperate for his “good people on both sides” moment.

The more depressing thing is it’s generational.
Low life scum breed low life scum.
Absolutely appalling.39 police officers injured last night according to the BBC.
39 people just doing their job in the wake of an already abhorrent evil event that’s ripped the community apart.
All because some thickos just want any excuse to kick off.
Of course. Support when they're right, criticise when they're wrong. It's still the exception, some people just haven't grown up enough to accept the police are needed and should be supported.
But you knew that already didn't you Vic?
Aside from that rather obvious example, I find it surprising that on a football forum of all places there seems to be an ignorance of all the instances of unwarranted police brutality at football matches down the years, the worst of which was probably this one https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...0-000-payout-after-police-attack-9143266.html in our own city which involved fans of Newcastle and Sheffield United being attacked ahead of their FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.Because of a silly post that if you've done nothing wrong you never need to fear the police. It would obviously prompt people to think of exceptions. I'd have gone for the Barnsley pie riots.
Sarah Everard's family strongly disagree with your old man.
I suppose you can say covering up who was primarily responsible for the deaths of 97 innocent football fans and putting the blame back onto fans for that one is an exception too. Never mind West Midlands Police being renowned for writing confessions back in the 70s, or beating them out of people. And of course, there’s the recent high profile case of the wrongful conviction of Andrew Malkinson. I’ll also add that you can’t have been to too many football matches to not be aware of all the examples of unwarranted police brutality that have taken place down the years but yeah, all law-abiding citizens have nothing to fear from the police, ever. It's still the exception, some people just haven't grown up enough to accept the police are needed and should be supported.

It's shocking. I've just read the BBC report and as far as I can see, there was nothing about any arrests.39 police officers injured last night according to the BBC.
