UK far right trouble

He should have been arrested and convicted for both.

As for Melia, I'm told you why I've used it as an example...to show you how low the bar is set for 'incitement of racial hatred'. If you're talking about the poster he had of Hitler on his private wall, the laws specifically exempts that because it's not deemed to be 'distributing' material.

However much of a scumbag Melia is/was, the stuff that was in the public domain was extremely innocuous and totally incomparable to a death threat accompanied by a slur against a race. It's astonishing that he got sent to 2 years in prison for it but the other guy hasn't been charged with anything.

In response to your answer, do you think the backlog in the justice system is a reason to not even bother prosecuting someone for sending death threats and racial hatred?

No he really shouldn’t, that’s your misinterpretation and misunderstanding. The only person that can change that is you yourself if you choose to.

Melia, as I already posted, was convicted of both inciting racial hatred and encouraging racially aggravated damage. He was found guilty by a jury of both.

The second point is pertinent there as it’s a key factor for the first (alongside some of the messages found on the stickers that you’re not saying…). Why are you picking the evidence you’re choosing to share? That just looks like you’re getting your information and research from some very dubious sites or are deliberately being disingenuous.

On your question, no I don’t. You or I actually have no idea though what the reason behind it is or what stage in the process it’s at.

To flip the question round, what motive would the police or CPS have for wanting to delay it in your mind?
