I’m not sure which bit is worse. The fact that you think Paul Joseph Watson, Sargon Of Akkad and Count Dankula are “internet personalities” (whatever that is), or that their support is a sign of UKIP’s resurgence.

One is a character dropped from the final version of The Hobbit the other is a failed kids cartoon character that had to be renamed

In the context of present celebrity culture, an Internet celebrity, blogebrity, cyberstar, online celebrity, micro-celebrity or Internet personality is someone who has become famous by means of the Internet. The advent of social media has helped people increase their outreach to a global audience.

Watson has nearly 1million followers on twitter, Dankula has over 150k. Sargon has around 100k followers on Facebook.

Not sure how far behind the times you are but the game is changing...

The other is a bad weirdo who seemingly lives in his mother’s cellar, spouting bile to the world in front of a world map and advertising “brain pills” to a demented audience.

3.2 billion people use social media worldwide, 1 million followers is nowt special, unless they are all deffinately in the UK and will be voting UKIP, which I suspect they are not.
