UMBRO

With the exception of the dog's breakfast that is the current home kit, Umbro have produced 5 outstanding kits for us since Sheikhy took the club over. That said though I won't ever forget how they ditched us, probably their longest serving client, faster than you could say knife when the opportunity of making the rag's kits came along.

See i think its better than last seasons but regardless of that its still better than 90% of all other UK team kits so how exactly is it a dogs dinner

Blue moon dots, crappy reebok style white striping, jay cloth protuding from half the collar. How's that? Golden rule with footie kits, keep them simple. I'd rate the 2009/2010 home kit, the black and red sash 3rd kit and the current away strip as 3 of the best the club has ever produced, even ahead of the 99 Kappa gem. The new home kit's not as bad as say the black and red chessboard, circa 88, or the chicken mesh effort from the early 90's, but it is overcomplicated. But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. No-one's right, no-one's wrong, when it comes to this sort of stuff IMO

I wish we could return to the days when the maker's trademark was only displayed on the inside label of the shirt instead of the outside where it can be seen.

No its not.

We're at a manufacturer with a connection to the club, who put a lot of work into our kit each season and are currently producing by far the classiest kit designs around.

We should stick with Umbro for a long time.
Indeed! Umbro gear is top shit. The kits this season are only okay, not as good as last season but better than the first season with them. They are a Manchester company and we're with them for ten years, which I'm glad about.

I'd hate to be with Adidas, they make shocking kits. They all look the same as every kit no matter what the team they all have the 3 stripes on the arms. Shite!

Yeah and the football has laces, goalies without gloves, standing terraces, fights before and after the matches

I really like Umbro. I hate how some of the others seem to just use a template and change the colors for whatever team it is while City has looked very nice under umbro.

I honestly think we're the only team that gets good Umbro kits. The rest really aren't that great, but we get sorted out! Happy days!

Umbro have a long connection with City, going back many years. In the 60s/70s, (the late) John Humphries was a City director, with the company , a corruption of Humphries Brothers, having their Head Office in Wilmslow.
