You are but the dole office don't like it. Had a 4 and a half month stint on the dole last year
i found it crap as after a few hours of job hunting and applying the same old jobs would pop up meaning some days there wouldnt be anything new to apply for.
Tried to keep a daily routine going, and also used the time to make a few websites and play lots of poker

it's all very well postin' a few of those on here , it keeps peoples chins up , for want of a better word ...... but makin' money out of it just ain't my style , da mamba just don't work dat way!!
I might , however , take up my yearning for a chiropody course yet , or even try my hand at being a narrator , i'd be good at that as i'm quite a 'people person' ...... what's put me off both careers so far is the thought that i might just pick up that foot and mouth disease!

i get loads of call off people(mainly youngsters) asking for work, they call in on speck and ask for even saturday work, it must be soul destroying for them.
a lad has just rang me asking if there are any jobs going , he's 17 and about to finish an I.T. course yet he's having to ring all and sundry to find any work whatsoever.

Got to say there have been times I have taken my job for granted and indeed slagged it off. More than ever before though I now appreciate it for what it is - a job.
