Morning blues,

My iphone 4 is literally nakered - cuts out in the middle of calls, top button doesn't work, and there's no way I'm paying £120 to get the thing fixed when I'm changing phones in August.

My Mrs also has an iphone 4 that she recently upgraded and cancelled the contract on. her phone was on a different network to me, so is there a way I can 'unblock' her phone and put my sim in it?

Thanks all

Yes..You will have to go back to the previous contract provider though and pay their fee (usually £20.) iPhones can only be inlocked via ITUNES and a pass code issued by Apple

What network are you with because I know O2 charge £15 to unlock iPhones..

Check on your network website just type in unlocking my iphone

Excellent stuff. Cheers folks

A word of warning mate, i wanted to unlock my misses iPhone 4 like others have said, so i rang tmobile up and buy the unlock code... but because she had cancelled her tmobile contract with them (the contract had run its course and she then took a new contract out with vodafone) tmobile wouldn't let me buy the unlocking code as i didn't have a current contract with them, and they wouldn't let my mate buy the code from them who did have a current tmobile contract

Not sure who your with and how it works with them, but if your with tmobile i just hope she still has a valid contract with tmobile?

I thought mobile companies were obliged to unlock phones at the end of a contract? You have paid for it thought the contract?

Jailbreak it, it is so easy to do a quick google search and your flying.

Can be done for £15-£20 down the market or you can do it yourself if you search online on jail breaking an IPHONE 4.
