Undercover in the Police documentary

Wow.
Absolutely unbelievable these people are meant to protect us

everyone I knew at school who joined the Police should never have been accepted - that was in the 80's - mates Dad was a Police Sergeant faked injury on full pay for as long as I could remember and retired on full pension at the end of it. A guy and his Mrs I knew who lived over the road from me worked for the BTP as did his Mrs. During the miners strike they were seconded to other forces, did loads of overtime and bought several houses cash in that time ( Middleton - 80's - terraced houses were sub £20k ) and when he bragged about it in the boozer that was doing collections for miners families he got a kicking. I have never had a high opinion of our Police Forces as a result - there are some good cops but when the see wrong doing and turn a blind eye are they still good cops or are they complicit?

My expectations of them have always been low. They're not a group of good people wanting to enforce the law, they tend to be the cunts no one liked at school. There will be exceptions of course, but with the power it's inevitable they look to get away with the same shit they arrest others for.

Not condoning it but a job where you see

Abused children
Abused animals
Abused elderly
Murder
Suicide
Serious mental illness
Horrific accidents
Horrific violence and the consequences
Unbelievably evil people

Is going to require very thick skinned people who use gallows humour that occasionally goes too far.
If the police service isn't good enough it's partly down to us a society I'd suggest

Faking injury and ill health is everywhere now, judging from the number of blue badge places at our local Tesco their are so many places the general public can’t get anywhere near the entrance.
We have a tremendous amount of poorly people who need a blue badge but it’s the numbers of sick maybe it’s not being able to get a doctors appointment who knows why so many people need a blue badge

Prison officers I knew regularly signed each other in work when they were sat at home taking a day off. I used to toy with the idea of reporting them but never did.

Nothing but praise for the police after a robbery and a family accident, They went above and beyond for us.

So true. The biggest bullies in our school joined the police. That was the 70s so very different to today. One of them later stopped me outside Maine Road at a game with one of his pals. Both were on duty in uniform. He threatened me with violence (saying he had my address) because I had had a couple of dates with his ex girlfriend. Surely GMP have improved since then though.

If only we had video recorders to film the West Midlands police at football games. In the 1980’s. Horrible bastards
Got nabbed by them WMP in early 80's, Snow Hill, twats kicked fuck out of me, had to pretend i were older than i actually was so as to bail myself out at the time, when they finally released me they'd thought it funny to time it as Birmingham's mob were just so happen to be strolling past. Bastards!

Fucked the court appearance right off, when they did eventually catch up with me months later on warrant i only got a £5 fine n two AC (attendance centre). AC ffs, remember them lol

West Brom v City 1983, aged 20, City score, we all go mad and I lost my footing and slipped over. Someone picks me up and I turn to say “thanks” and the cop twists my arm around my back and marches me off to the police room as my mates pile around saying I hadn’t done anything.
I’m in this room with loads of plod stood around and a big bastard in a white shirt with stripes. I keep protesting I’d done nothing other than fall over and looked directly at the twat who nabbed me and asked him what did I do? Nothing. That’s why you won’t answer. Big twat in white shirt tells me to shut up.
In frustration I move to the back wall, lean against it with one foot against the wall. Big twat in white shirt gets up, charges over to me, grabs my jacket collar and punches me on the lower chin saying take your foot off the wall or I’ll be in court for criminal damage (seriously!)
He then asks for my name and address and no idea why I said this, but I did - “I’m not saying anything without the presence of a solicitor”. Big fat twat in white shirt is rankled….. “what did you say?”
i shat myself, gulped and repeated it, half expecting another slap but instead he said “take his description down and throw him out”
I thought “hhmmm I’m in the right here” and as one plod opened the door I turned and looked at him and said “and I noted your number and will be reporting you for assault” he got up up and ran towards me but I was through the door and off like a rocket! The twat never left the safety of the room surrounded by his chums.
